Raymond Wong

Raymond fully qualified in 1980 by stringent examination, becoming the first Chinese Fellow of the UK Association of Average Adjusters (better-known as AAA) founded in 1869.  He is sitting on the Advisory & Dispute Resolution Panel of the AAA.
Raymond started his career with the oldest average adjusting firm, William Richards & Sons (currently named Richards Hogg Lindley).  He was an equity partner of Richards Hogg prior to its incorporation and following its acquisition by Charles Taylor plc., he was appointed to sit on the latter’s Board of Directors between 1999-2008.  After retirement from the firm he had worked for some 45+ years, Raymond continued his service and commitment to the maritime and insurance communities and has now launched, in conjunction with colleagues in the region, the average adjusting services under the umbrella of Asia Maritime Adjusting (HK) within TCWong Average Consulting Ltd.
Raymond is a regular lecturer/speaker on general average and maritime claims related topics and is often called upon by Brokers, Insurers, P&I and Lawyers to provide opinions on disputed claims.

Alice Ou

Alice studied law at East China University of Political Science and Law and started her career with The People’s Insurance Co. of China, Beijing for one year before joining the Global Law Office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in December 1992.  She qualified as PRC lawyer in 1993 but she also practices average adjusting.  She worked in Hong Kong for Dari Co. Ltd., a joint venture between the Department for Average Adjustment of CCPIT and Richards Hogg during 1997/2000.  In December 2000, Alice sat for and passed the examination set by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) becoming certified loss surveyor and adjuster.  She is the founder of CT Anson Adjusters & Surveyors Co. Ltd., the joint venture with Charles Taylor plc. in Shanghai and was the general manager throughout January 2001/July 2015.

Alice is our principal adjuster, shuttling between Hong Kong and Shanghai; the adjusting team in Shanghai includes:
Daisy Yang 杨佳瑛 – Graduate of Shanghai Maritime University (2003); over 10 years’ experience in maritime claims.
Shirley Zhang 张圣裔 – Graduate of Beijing University (2013); PRC lawyer, practicing maritime law and average adjusting

Rocky Siu

蕭樂勤
Rocky is an Associate (by qualifying examination) of the AAA. He studied shipping and logistics at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2004) and started his career with The China Navigation Co. Ltd (Swire Shipping). He is a Master Mariner (Australia) and holds a Master of Laws in Maritime Law (City University of Hong Kong) with The Hong Kong Maritime Law Scholarship (2015).

Pearl has passed the AAA Associateship examination.  She has a degree of Master of Science from the University of Hong Kong.

Neville Ma

Consulting Average Adjuster with 40 years’ experience at Richards Hogg Lindley of the Charles Taylor group (from which he retired in March 2020), having gained a wealth of experience in servicing clients world-wide, handling adjustments on marine insurance claims of all types and complexities on a wide range of vessels and insurance markets.  Neville is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK.

Harry Bennison

Through our Associate in London, Rogers Wilkin Ahern LLP, we seek advice of Harry Bennison on technical matters.  Harry is unique inasmuch his career of over 35 years in consultancy has been exclusively geared towards average adjusting, as a result of which his knowledge of our technical requirements is unrivalled.

John MacDonald

With over 50 years’ experience in average adjusting, John is also a Fellow of the AAA and a former Chairman thereof.  In addition, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association.  John worked in Hong Kong during 1971/1975.

Christopher Tang

Christopher is our Associate resident in Singapore.  He fully qualified by stringent examination as Fellow of AAA in 1982.  Chris is the Director of Asia Maritime Adjusting Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

Edward S O Lau

劉世安
Edward joined the profession in 1965 and became fully qualified by stringent examination of AAA in 1985.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of adjusting marine insurance claims and general average.  Edward is a former director of Richards Hogg International and director and general manager of Dari & Co., Ltd., Hong Kong.  He is our Consultant shuttling between Hong Kong, Sacramento and Vancouver.

Garrick Hwang

黃承陽
Garrick is our Correspondent in Taiwan. He is a well-qualified claim professional with over 30 years practice in marine and liabilities insurance, both in underwriting and loss adjusting & surveying, having had 3 years seagoing experience. Garrick is the Nautical Surveyor of Concord Marine, Taipei (founded 1992).

Cho Hor Wong

Wong Cho Hor is a Logistics & Projects Consultant and Director of Five Oceans Maritime Ltd., Hong Kong. He began his career in 1973, and has a range of maritime practice and project financing experience.  He served as a Director of the Charterers P&I Club.
