The Course has been put under the Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme of Maritime and Aviation Training Fund.
Aims
This programme covers a wide range of practical marine insurance disciplines, which aims to provide in-service training for recent entrants to shipping/logistics insurance industries. This course should particularly appeal to insurance and claims executives of shippers, ship-owners, ship-managers, agents, brokers, insurers and P&I clubs, and also to persons in banking and finance houses. This will also provide a useful basis as a refresher for practitioners who may not have previously enjoyed formal instruction in the subject.

Duration: Part time (April/June 2016), commencing on Monday, 25th April 2016 and completing on Thursday 23rd June 2016.
Classes: Classes will be held on every Monday and Thursday (except public holidays on 2nd May and 9th June) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m

Award: Participants who achieve a minimum of 80% attendance will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance, which would be the document in support of the application for the Professional Training and Examination Refund under the MATF.
Tutors: The team of subject tutors consisting largely of members of the Marine Insurance Club who will draw from their professional experience to elucidate the principal aspects of each subject and lead discussions into the problem areas where acceptable solutions have to be found. The emphasis will be upon explanation and practical participation.
